Hi! I'm Amanda, owner and lead photographer here at AWM Photography! I grew up in Chesapeake, VA and currently live in Hertford, NC with my husband, our newborn son, and a pet or two (or three!).
Since I was 9, you could always find me snapping photos of anything and everything. I've always placed so much value in photos; whether it's a beautifully staged portrait or a sneaky candid moment, the memories and emotions preserved in a photo are simply priceless. A photo lives on forever, and it truly is my honor to share my passion for capturing memories with you and your family.
I've had the honor of photographing weddings, couples, families, seniors, little ones, and my all time favorite... mamas to be! There's something so gorgeous and magical about photographing an expecting mom, and maternity shoots will always have such a special place in my heart!

Your photoshoot shouldn't make you stress...that's my job!
So many people find photoshoots awkward, stiff, and simply not fun. My goal is to eliminate every bit of that! It's totally normal to be nervous, but I strive to create a relaxed and comfortable environment for each and every client I have the honor of photographing. When you are in front of my camera, I will share all my goofy poses and prompts so we can capture relaxed, authentic photos and dare I say, have some fun!
